magda el haitem

Founding Partner

Prior to founding El Haitem ◆ Law, Magda El Haitem gained several years of experience within international organisations, NGOs, and law firms in both France and abroad.

She is dedicated to representing foreign nationals facing the complexities of the French administrative system, with precision and commitment.

El Haitem ◆ Law focuses on international mobility law, supporting foreign citizens throughout every stage of their relocation to France—whether to travel, settle, or work.

Magda advises both individuals and international entities seeking to employ staff or independent professionals within French territory.

With academic training in international law and human rights, Magda began her legal career working on transitional justice matters. She later joined an international law firm in London, practising in extradition, business criminal law, and fundamental rights.

After eight years abroad, she founded her practice in France, drawing on her personal and professional experience to offer strategic, human-centred legal guidance.

Her approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the administrative, personal, and political dimensions of international mobility.

She provides comprehensive support—from visa and work permit applications to residence and nationality procedures—and represents clients before French consulates, prefectures, and administrative courts.

Magda holds a Master’s Degree in International Law from Sorbonne University and a Master’s in Post-Conflict Reconstruction from Aix-Marseille University.

A native French speaker, she is fluent in English and a member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA).

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Rouen, followed by a Master’s degree in International and European Law and a second Master’s in the Protection of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, Selma worked for four years as a legal assistant at the Rouen Court of Appeal.

Building on this experience, she chose to deepen her commitment by focusing on the protection of individual rights and freedoms—particularly those of foreign nationals in France—joining El Haitem ◆ Law as a legal advisor.
